Acceptance of terms

By using calc.one, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site. We may update these terms occasionally; continued use after changes means you accept the new version.

What we provide

calc.one is a free collection of online calculators. The calculators are general-purpose tools intended for casual reference, education, and rough estimation.

No warranty, important

The calculators, content, and other materials on this site are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including without limitation warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, completeness, or non-infringement. We make reasonable efforts to verify the math but do not warrant that any calculator is free from error or suitable for your particular situation. You should not rely on calc.one calculators for:

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall calc.one, its operators, contributors, or licensors be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising out of or relating to your use of the site, its calculators, content, or advertisements, whether based in contract, tort, statute, or any other legal theory, and whether or not we were advised of the possibility of such damages. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or limitations of liability, so some of the above may not apply to you.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless calc.one and its operators from any claim, demand, or damages, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising out of your misuse of the site, your violation of these terms, or your violation of any applicable law or third-party right.

Acceptable use

You may use calc.one freely for personal and commercial purposes. You may not:

Intellectual property

The calculator implementations, content, design, and code on calc.one are our intellectual property. The underlying mathematical formulas are, of course, in the public domain. You're welcome to learn from a calculator and build your own; please don't copy our prose or code wholesale.

Third-party links and ads

Pages may contain links to third-party sites and advertisements served by third-party networks. We don't control those destinations and are not responsible for their content, terms, or privacy practices. Click through at your own discretion.

Changes to the service

We add, remove, and update calculators continuously. Specific calculators may be discontinued, redirected, or revised at any time. We don't promise that any particular calculator will remain available indefinitely.

Force majeure

We are not liable for any delay or failure to provide the site caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, natural disasters, war, terrorism, riots, embargoes, acts of civil or military authorities, fire, floods, accidents, network failures, strikes, or shortages of transportation, facilities, fuel, energy, labor, or materials.

Severability

If any provision of these terms is held to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable for any reason by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision will be enforced to the maximum extent permissible and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

Governing law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Connecticut, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these terms or your use of the site shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Connecticut, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
